Safona's Story

Baking is in Safona’s blood—she is a third-generation baker who launched her professional

journey in 2020 under Hersheykiss’d Cakes. Her love for baking was inspired by the talented

women in her family: her grandmothers, Magnolia Price and Eddie Theressa Swayzer, who

filled their kitchens with warmth, love, and irresistible treats.

From a young age, Safona found joy in sharing her creations. In fact, there was a running joke

that people joined her committees just for the desserts! Over the years, she honed her craft,

experimenting with recipes and putting her own unique spin on classic flavors. A close friend

often challenged her to create new flavor profiles—one of those challenges led to the beloved

Muse’s Favorite.

In February 2023, Safona rebranded her business as Mag’s Legacy Cakes and More as a

tribute to the generations before her. Every cake and pastry is a reflection of heritage, passion,

and love, handcrafted with the same care and tradition passed down through her family.
